Day #23: Two characters you wanted to get together that never did
I went through a phase where I was a Faith/Spike shipper. This started before they even sort of met in "Who Are You". I'm not sure that they would work as a long-term couple, but they would be hot in the short-term.

Both Spike and Faith are pretty much shippable with ANY other character, IMO. They do have a lot of emotional issues in common, it's true, but I don't see that as an impediment to them being good together. Faith is to Buffy as Spike is to Angel, in a lot of ways, and it would help both of them to have somebody for whom they are the primary focus, after being in the shadow of others for so long. Plus, they could indulge in mischief while those around them played the dour and serious roles.

Faith is to Buffy as Spike is to Angel

This is truth.

And I've been expanding my reading lately - hey, as long as it's good writing, you know? (I never read Xander-centric fics for instance but I just finished eurydice72's "A Stone's Throw from Yesterday" as well as her Faith/Wesley fic "El Santuario" and DAMN that is some damn fine characterization. I had to finish "Stone's Throw" in one day because I was so engrossed in it.)
