Women Cover John Lennon

I love it when women cover John Lennon's songs. Here are three amazing covers of his work by female singers that I have stumbled upon in my explorations of the internet.

Priscilla Ahn's heartbreaking take on Julia.

Regina Spektor's lovely version of Real Love. Her voice strikes me as beautifully suited to this song. There is some empty space at the end of this video. I don't know why. You can just skip it.

Elizabth Gillies' gorgeous cover of Jealous guy. I appreciate that she doesn't try to genderswap the lyrics.

I defy you to not be awed by this music.

These are all three fantastic (and were unknown to me). As far as women covering Lennon songs are concerned, I've got a particular soft spot for Marianne Faithfull's cover of Working Class Hero:

(Which is why I used it in a story.)
