Nov. 23rd, 2023 11:56 am I'm reading Egypt's Golden Couple: When Akhenaten and Nefertiti Were Gods on Earth, by John Darnell and Colleen Darnell. Nice ancient history book that was published last year. I can't help but notice that, at least so far, it makes no reference to controversies about the ownership of ancient artifacts or human remains (and while it is mostly in the past, it does discuss the present day).
I'm stilling make my way through the Fullmetal Alchemist manga.
I'm watching the Fall of the House of Usher. I am enjoying it but it is almost too intense for me.
The podcast I listen to, You're Wrong About, did an episode about Gary Hart, a man I never heard of. He was almost the US Democractic presidential candidate in 1988, but due to a rumor of an extra-marital affair dropped out of the running.
