Anya is tricky because her ability to murder is much more metaphorical than other characters. Also, in real life, scorned men are a lot lot more dangerous than scorned women.
But within the show, Anya actually did those things and they actually happened to actual people.
Agree about Xander. As other people have pointed out, it's ironic that Anya came to Sunnydale in order to punish Xander, and then she ends up getting dumped by him. That she came because of him and Cordelia, that was something he knew, right? I can't remember when/how he found out.
