I don't watch a whole lot of TV shows, but of those I've seen, yeah, I can't think of an example of a woman raping or trying to rape a man and it being labeled "rape". To be fair, when it comes to mind control and body swapping, I've even seen male-on-female examples not labeled "rape". But still, I can think of examples involving physical force that would definitely be called "rape" if the genders were reversed.
I would hope that if Anya actually cursed Xander seriously, most fans would sympathize with him. But then again, in Beneath You when Anya says her cursing of men is happening because Xander leaving her at the altar, Xander says, "And sooner or later, Anya, that excuse just stops working." And I've seen at least one fan point to this as an example of Xander not taking responsibility for his actions. And I don't think anyone commented to disagree with them.
So I guess I really don't know how fans would react to a Xander actually cursed by Anya.
