“vs.” for who I think would win a fight
“or” for who I like better
“+” for how I ship them (platonic, familial, romantic, not at all)

Do we ever see these two fight? It's an interesting thought, because Dru is Buffy - the Buffy Angel destroyed. But human Dru's super power was passive, visions, while Buffy's is physical strength. I'm inclined to say Buffy would win. She was eventually able to get out from under Dracula's thrall, so she might be able to resist Dru's. In a physical fight, no contest.
Dru OR Buffy
I love Drusilla, but Buffy's my girl.
Dru + Buffy
Didn't you write fic about this one? It would have been great to see more interaction between the two (see above about how Dru is Buffy). I think Drusilla's role as Buffy's victimized shadow self made Buffy nervous of interacting with her...while to poor Dru, Buffy was the woman who took her family away. I would say that I don't ship them, but would like to see more interactions.
Dru vs. Faith
Faith. I don't think Dru would be able to catch her eyes.
Dru OR Faith
Faith. Though it is hard to choose between these dark-haired mentally unstable woman.
Dru + Faith
Romantically, I don't think either would be interested. They're too different and alike in all the wrong ways. I can't even see them working together as villains. I actually real could see pre-Bad Girls Faith as being the person to kill Dru, replacing her as Buffy's shadow self. But a relationship of any kind...can't see it.
Dru vs. Dawn
Dawn is so dead.
Dru OR Dawn
Sorry Dawn, but Dru.
Dru + Dawn
Eeek. Eeek eeek eeek. Dru would be so creepy with teenage Dawn. Sooooo creepy. Dawn in S5/S6 wasn't much younger than Buffy was when she met Dru, but Buffy was the slayer. Dawn has this very odd combination of having lived a very hard life and yet being overprotected. She feels "safe" with chipped, soulless Spike. Even Buffy was smarter than that with Angel (she loved him, she didn't know if she trusted him.) I feel like Dru could manipulate Dawn a lot if she so chose.

Buffy OR Faith
Love them both, but Buffy's my #1.
Buffy + Faith
I realized recently that I see Buffy and Faith as having both a sisterly relationship AND a relationship with a lot of sexual tension. Their relationship is very indefinable and changeable. That said, I can't see a romantic relationship between them within the context of the show. It would have to take a lot of development post-show for me to buy that. Their relationship is just too unstable and the connection is too fragile, too off-and-on. Buffy/Spike had periods of stability (for example early S6), and an understanding that didn't exist with Buffy/Faith (I'm thinking of Buffy's dream in Consequences of Faith drowning her...and yet she's will to trust Spike with Dawn in the immediate aftermath of the attempted rape).
I really would have liked to see more of the development of Buffy and Faith's relationship. In End of Days it seemed like they were back at the beginning: Buffy is reassuring Faith after things went wrong for her, as in Faith, Hope, and Trick and Revelations. So maybe the relationship could play out differently this time. But we don't get to see it.
(Well, maybe in the comics, but not my scene.)
Buffy vs. Dawn
Yeah, when your sister's the slayer, you probably don't want to piss her off.
Buffy OR Dawn
Buffy. I like Dawn, but I think the writers made some major missteps. They wrote her as too young for age early on, they dropped her key-ness in S6, and in S7 I feel like they over-compensated by making her too competent too quickly. It just sort of happens, it's not a development.
Buffy + Dawn
Sisters sisters all the way. The end of No Place Like Home always makes me cry. I love the Dawn's key-ness makes their sister relationship unique.

Faith OR Dawn
Faith. See my previous comment for my dissatisfaction on the writing on Dawn.
Faith + Dawn
Someone once presented a fanon that Dawn initially thought Faith was cooler than Buffy and crushed on her. I approve. However, ultimately Dawn's loyalty to Buffy (and Faith's dark side) prevailed, and the relationship was never the same. In the long run, I think Dawn's loyalty to Buffy would always stand in the way of a close relationship with Faith. (Although do wonder how things would go if Faith and Buffy were able to develop and enter a genuine romantic relationship.)

Date: 2017-05-31 01:04 pm (UTC)I also prefer Faith/Buffy myself. I think that Dawn is much more attracted to girls like Willow, if we have to choose a girl to pair with her, but I can see this "she's cooler than my sister and has a badass tattoo" teenage crushing.

Date: 2017-05-31 03:54 pm (UTC)I get the impression that Joyce and Hank had a common '90s attitude where they weren't outright homophobic, but they weren't comfortable with it and had told their daughters next to nothing about it. So I could see Dawn having a complicated attraction to a girl like Faith. But I don't think it would ever have gone farther than a crush on an older sister's friend.
(I wonder when/how she found out about Xander and Faith's one-night stand, speaking of attraction to older sister's friends...)
