Day #12: Least favourite episode
This is a hard one. I like so many episodes, and a lot of the really unpopular episodes have something that I like. I think "As You Were" has potential, even though it doesn't live up to it. I like the first half of "Bad Eggs". I don't like how Willow's storyline went in "Wrecked" (I actually like the idea of her being addicted to magic, but not the execution), but it has some great Buffy/Spike scenes. Maybe "Living Conditions" is my list favorite, because it grosses me out and isn't very interesting otherwise.

Oh my God! I know it's a gross episode in many ways, but I ADORE Living Conditions. Love it, really. It shows accurately the condition of having to share a room/house with someone you don't really know or, as you discover later, is an ass. Commedy gold.

I admit I love Buffy's reaction when she finds out Kathy was a demon "I was RIGHT!", but the "hallucination scenes" where her soul is being sucked out are some of the most frightening images of the series.

AYW would be my least favorite in terms of how much rage it inspires in me - and how little goddamn sense it makes. But Inca Mummy Girl is my pick for early-seasons ep that I don't hate but is so godawful in it's way that I keep thinking it's part of season 1.

The idea of Buffy seeing something of herself in this other girl had potential, but then they made it principally about Xander - and I'm to believe this gorgeous girl found this nerdy boy irresistible? It's the same old trope all over again. (And dear god, the accent - more of Joss' massive fail when it comes to race/ethnicity.)

I get why people don't like As You Were. I just get hung up on the potential that it has.

Good call for Incan Mummy Girl. I don't know if I'd list it as my absolute least favorite, but it is not a good one.

AYW had TONS of potential (including Riley admitting to Buffy 'I was really messed up last year, I'm sorry." Does ANYONE besides Spike (via actions) really apologize to Buffy in S6-7 for the shit they put her through?)

I actually compare AYW to an episode of Bones, believe it or not: The Woman in the Photo (S6). I'd never mention those two series in the same breath otherwise (in terms of quality) but it deals with the female protagonist's skewed perspective on her own life in a way that AYW could have easily done but chose to go for the Riley-shipping instead.
