I don't think I have an example for this one. I don't think there's any episode I outright hate. The episodes I don't like as much are unlikely to be popular.

I actually have an answer for this one: Triangle. All the characters seem really off-model in terms of their behavior, in ways I find annoying. But other people seem to like it, possibly because it's funny?

I like "Triangle", though it's not a favorite. "Funny" might be a good explanation, and I also like that it deals with Willow and Anya's relationship, and Anya's backstory.

I don't know if I "hate" a generally well-loved episode; I'd say I'm a bit "less in love" with Dopplegangland and Restless than what seems to be the norm. Watching Restless the first time through was the first time during the series I actually said "Bored now" aloud - but that was during Buffy's dream I think. 4 dream sequences in a row+foot fetish+Magical Black+tons of sand = one dream sequence to many for me?

I mean, I respect it - and I really enjoyed the first three dreams - but neither love it nor hate it.

I'm more likely to go the other way as I mentioned back in day 16, "What do you mean people hate Beer Bad (etc)?"

I'm a little less in love with "Hush" than seems to be the norm. It's a fine episode with a creepy villain, but it's not one of my favorites.

That one is one of my favorite "special" eps - the Gentleman genuinely frightened me, Olivia ( I wish they had kept her on. But then she probably would have been killed off anyway), the moment when Buffy and Riley point their weapons at one another (razer-sharp editing there, which is a huge kink for me) and...the introduction of Tara. The laundry scene gives me shivers ever damn time I watch it (and the spiritual handfasting is referenced in Chosen.)

But I can see how that wouldn't be a favorite, too? I don't always respond well when the "technique" becomes the emphasis. (Like when a writer shows off in a fic, "Look how clever I am!") Probably part of my reaction to Restless - and I lose interest in the Body after the first act.
