Amused by my past self
Apr. 26th, 2012 05:22 pmI was reading my diary from a few years ago for, and I stumbled on something mildly amusing: I saw Iron Man with a group of friends when it first came out in 2008. It was the first Robert Downey Jr. movie I'd ever seen (and the last--for some reason I never got around to seeing Iron Man, even though I liked the first one).
What I had forgotten until rereading my diary was that after we saw the movie, I said to my friends, not one of whom was a Beatles fan, "Robert Downey Jr. is better at the soulful puppy dog eye look than Paul McCartney."

Mind you, original Chaplin has both Paul and RDJ beat in the eyes department but that's what being the biggest male star of the silent era will do for you...
